Meet Dr. Mikhail Petrov (Chagrin Falls, OH)

Mikhail Petrov, O.D., M.D., received his Doctor of Medicine from Pavlov First State Medical University of St. Petersburg, Russia, in 1987. After relocating to the United States, he was licensed by the Ohio State Board of Optometry upon completing the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO) exams, passing the Ohio Optometry law exam, and having his education and clinical training formally evaluated.

Dr. Petrov has special interests in comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, emergency eye care, and co-management of LASIK and other refractive surgeries. Fluent in both Russian and English, he is passionate about making eye care accessible and effective for a diverse patient base.

From a young age, Dr. Petrov was fascinated by the science of optics and astronomy, which naturally led him to a career in eye care. What he enjoys most about being an optometrist is helping patients bring their world into clear focus.

Outside the office, Dr. Petrov enjoys hiking with his family.
